Plex fans may be interested to hear an official Plex desktop app for Linux is now available to install from the Snap Store. Plex shared the news of its desktop app update in a blog post today, writing “…as of today Plex HTPC goes live as the true spiritual successor to [Plex Media Player] TV mode,” the media streaming service’s much-loved but aged desktop app. The Plex Desktop app is already available on macOS and Windows, so this is the first time it has been widely available on Linux desktops.
